AirBnB Review

As an experienced traveler, I’m constantly asked by family and friends on where to find the cheapest accommodations. If your just looking for a CHEAP place, I suggest staying in a dormitory in a hostel. However, if your looking for a balance of culture, affordability, and a true local experience I would highly recommended AirBnB.

I have stayed in 5-star hotels and I have also slept in tents out in the wild. Sure 5-star hotels was nice and all, but it sure ate at my budget. While sleeping in tents is not exactly the most comfortable place to sleep in especially after experiencing a sore back a day later. After experiencing both ends of the spectrum, I would have to say that In my travels my most memorable experiences came from staying in people’s homes.

In my opinion, there is absolutely no better experience to fully immerse yourself in a culture and environment by simply living like a local. Which is exactly what AirBnB offers! Not only do you get to interact with other locals in the neighborhood, but you get to also eat the same kinds of food as they do, practice the language, and do the same activities! After befriending some locals or two, you can always ask for their recommendations about places to eat, sights to see, and any activities you might be interested in. And believe me, 99.9% of the time they are more than willing to help! I mean who else would know more about their area than the people currently living there right!?
